This sword is 28” long overall (in scabbard) and is the type used by confederate Calvary enlisted troops. The 22½” blade length was ideal for hand to hand fighting that was the mainstay of the War. Careful attention to detail is evident in the sword from the brass hand guard to the leatherette wrapped wire handle.  Both the blade and scabbard are crafted from stainless steel making it a wonderful display sword that will maintain its appearance for many years to come.
