Russian Decorative Thimble "Purple Flowers", Rostov enamel miniature painting Finift'
Decorative Thimble made without separable parts of a metal alloy with an additional decorative coating of silvery color with Rostov enamel inserts of hand-painted.
Rostov enamel - Russian folk art craft; exists since the 18th century in the city of Rostov, Yaroslavl region. Miniature images are made on enamel with transparent refractory paints invented in the 17th century. Rostov enamel is durable and does not fade over time, products from enamels are especially bright and clean.
Measurements: approx 2 cm x 2 cm, tall 3 cm ( diam of hole for finger is 1.75 cm) .
